What people
need in a friend is not formed in large assemblies or foyer
chit-chat. As society becomes more and more impersonal, we believe
the church must become more and more personal. Small Groups
assembling in homes (Acts 2:42-47) on Sunday evenings will provide
this closeness, and the involvement of more souls. At the same
time, we will retain the advantages of efforts possible by a
larger church.
The S.h.a.r.e.
Ministry is built upon the New Testament concept of koinonia
(koy-no-nee-ah), the Greek word for association, communion,
sharing, participation, fellowship, having connection, and close
relationship. In the right contexts it even embraces such meanings
as generosity, fellow-feelings, proof of brotherly unity, and
gift.
We believe
these concepts are worth living for! We believe they are worth
planning for in a Small Groups Ministry that revives
the example of the New Testament church.
