“America’s Godly Heritage” Video After a devotional period tonight and next Sunday night we will watch the video “America’s Godly Heritage” in two parts (about 25 minutes each time). This fascinating program sets forth the conviction of many of our Founding Fathers in God and the scriptures and the role such beliefs played in their views of education and public affairs. This is something not often taught and is even denied in the public arena today. You are encouraged to sit down front and hear a refreshing view of history.

Is The Customer Always Right?
We live in a society that says the customer is always right. Most places where we now shop give anywhere from 24 hour to 30-45 days to return a product, and if we’re not happy we can return the item no questions asked. While this may be a practical approach from the secular business viewpoint, is it the approach that the church should use? Jesus said, My Kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36).
Should we tailor the services of the church to suit everyone? If we take the approach that the customer is always right, we lose the effect of God and His word. Never mind what God says concerning any prerequisites for membership! Just make the church easily accessible to all and make no heavy demands!
Jesus never promised His followers an easy way of life. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14.) The King James used the word “strait” which means, “narrow, restricted, difficult to navigate.” We must walk in the way that has been designed by the Lord. Are you following in he path of the lord?
