SMALL GROUPS PRESENTATION - EVERYONE!

Over the next few weeks we will educate ourselves to the value, the plan and the Biblical basis for a Sunday Night Small Groups Ministry.  The possibilities are exciting!  Tonight we will watch a video sermon about groups by Brother Buddy Bell of the Landmark Church of Christ in Montgomery AL, a church with one of the most successful small groups ministries in the nation.

For $20 we can provide a turkey and full meal to families in need.  If you know of a family to help, please turn in written name and address to the office.  You may give any amount toward a basket or baskets to Cliff C or Darrell R.  On Sunday, Nov 23, we will package and deliver baskets.  More details later - but we MUST have a great deal of help!

BIBLE LANDS TOUR

We had a couple of quick meetings recently about the possibility of going to Israel next summer.  There was good interest; sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.  From my same travel contact I now have a proposal for a "Footsteps of the Apostle Paul Tour."  There are itinerary copies on the foyer table.  Look one over.  We will meet Sunday, Nov 16, to think about which trip . . or not!    -Cliff

Wheelchair Misplaced?

The church purchased a new wheelchair about 7 years ago to have available for handicapped members.  We can’t locate the wheelchair.  Please inform the office if you know of its whereabouts.

Serendipity

A “serendipity” is a pleasant surprise.  Churches that have begun well-planned, well -done small groups ministries have experienced serendipity beyond what they hoped to have happen with groups:

A)    Deeper fellowship- Foyer talk and basket supper chatter seems superficial once people start sharing the Lord in their lives with a few others

B)     Power of Christian hospitality- Far from too few places to meet, Christian people discover they do love knowing people and want them to “come over”

C)     Leadership Development- Leaders grow and new leaders emerge through group ministries.  Equipping happens on a personal level.

Stay tuned for more later & come see the video tonight!
