        Faith Partners

The Faith Partners team has continued to meet on a regular basis, continuing to learn more about the many issues of alcoholism and substance abuse.  Our mission is to help in education, prevention, and have an informed understanding of the problems that individuals and families face.  Recently we have had speakers who discussed the Family Dynamics of Addiction, How’s and Why’s of Intervention, and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.  We were also privileged to have a recovering alcoholic share his/her story.

On October 26 we will attend a workshop to share progress and hurdles with other teams, learn additional skills for team development, and have a sample “recovery worship service” - one that serves notice that we care and are willing to accept and help.      - Cliff

What if...?

..God couldn’t take the time to bless us today because we couldn’t take the time to thank Him Yesterday..

..God decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we didn’t follow today..

..God didn’t walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as His day...

..We never saw a flower bloom because we grumbled when He sent rain..

..God took away the Bible tomorrow, because we wouldn’t read it today..

..God took away the message because we didn’t listen to the messenger..

..God didn’t send His only begotten Son because He wanted us to be prepared to pay the price of sin..

..The church door was closed because we didn’t open the door of our hearts..

..God wouldn’t hear us today because we didn’t listen to Him yesterday..

..God answered our prayers the way we answer His call to service..

..God met out needs the way we give Him our lives..

God proved his love for us by sending His one and only Son to die on the cross for our sins.  We should strive to remember we owe our lives completely to Him and that His love for us is never ceasing.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.  Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”  I John 4:8.

God is love!  He will meet our needs, answer our prayers, continue to lead us, care for us, and bless us.  He only asks that we live for Him with all our being.
