1. Speak to people. Nothing is as nice as a cheerful greeting. 2. Smile at people. It takes 72 muscles to frown, but only 14 to smile.
3. Call people by name. The sweetest music to peoples’ ears is the sound of their own name. 4. Be friendly and helpful. If you desire friends, be friendly (Proverbs 18:24).
5. Be genuinely interested in people. You can like something about almost anyone if you try. 6. Be generous with praise, cautious with criticism.
7. Be considerate with the feelings of others. It will be appreciated. 8. Be thoughtful of the opinion of others.
9. Be cordial. Speak and act as if everything you do were a genuine pleasure. 10. Be alert to give service. What counts most in life is what you do for others. Via the “Harrah Herald”
GETTING IT RIGHT: During last Sunday’s sermon I made the statement that Galatians 3:27 is the only passage in the New Testament that tells us how to get “into Christ.” It reads, “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” I was reminded of Romans 6:3, “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?” Of course! Even the Greek words behind “baptized into Christ” are the same in both verses. In Christ is where we need to be and baptism into His death and being raised to walk in a new life with Him is the faith act we must obey (Romans 6:1-7). Always keep studying. - Cliff
